The Widespread Misconception About Talents
Many people are easily deceived by their spiritual talents. The result is that once a person can prophesy or do miracle, he feels that he is already perfect. He thinks that he is the highest, and feels that he is above all. The bad effects have been pride and pomposity, disobedience and stubbornness, and at times, jealousy and aggression. People easily forget what Jesus said that talents are very good, but not the most important things.
The most important things are truth, righteousness and holiness. However, in these very essential virtues, most of the ministers of God are lacking. By spread of effect, jealousy, greed and envy have become rampart in places of worship: churches, ministries, fellowship and associations. Therefore, it is necessary to give necessary explanations and reset priorities.
The Seven Levels Of Perfection
Perfection is like a staircase, which has infinite number of steps, each one being perfect, but with every step higher and better than the previous. It is like a parable of the flying bird. As long as the bird continues flapping its wings, it continues to fly and soar high. But as soon as it stops flapping, it falls down or hovers at the current level of flight. The worst is when it folds up its wings. Then, it falls down and crashes itself.
The Seven Basic Levels Of Perfection
The seven basic levels of perfection are :
- Omnipotence - 10%
- Omnipresence - 20%
- Omniscience - 30%
- Love of God - 40%
- Righteousness - 70%
- Holiness - 90%
- Oneness with God - 100%
1. Omnipotence
Every created thing is using the omnipotence of God. For example, electricity can move vehicles, press clothes, cool the drinks, power our radio and television studios, and provide street lights. The fact that something uses the omnipotence of God does not mean that that thing pleases God. Likewise, the sea uses the omnipotence of God in their raging tempests and rolling waves.
Jesus made it clear that power alone does not qualify a person to enter the kingdom of heaven, saying,
21 Not every one that says to me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that does the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? And in thy name have cast out devils? And in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I declare to them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that practise lawlessness. Matthew 7:21-23
2. Omnipresence
Many things are present in so many places. Yet, their wide presence does not make them the greatest elements. For instance, the sunshine fills the environment, air pervades the atmosphere, and sand covers the surface of the earth. The fact that they are everywhere does not mean they are the most important things in life. In other words, the fact that a minister of God is famous or renown does not qualify him to enter the kingdom of heaven.
3. Omniscience
Today, the world is suffering from information overload. Knowledge is surplus, excess. Yet, people are having all kinds of problem of life. The problems show that worldly knowledge cannot save humanity. That is why people are everyday running to and fro, hustling and bustling. Knowledge alone does not qualify a person to enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, the fact that you are a consultant or the best does not mean you shall inherit the kingdom of God.
4. Love Of God
In every society, there are so many churches, ministries, fellowship and crusades, as well as all kinds of religious activities. All these are evidences that people love God. But, God is not pleased with their religious pieties. And He has sworn to wipe humanity off the face of the earth, just as He flushed out the generations of Noah. Now, Hosts of Angels with merciless swords are ready, to flush out the present world population and civilization.
People claim to love God and fear Him. But, all human efforts and religiosity show that people neither love God nor fear him. In fact, people hate God, without knowing it, because they are busy every day breaking the laws of God, destroying the good and precious works of God, and provoking His wrath as if they were enemies of God.
That is the reasons why God is warning all Catholics, Anglicans, Pentecostals, etc, to leave their religious beliefs and practices, which are lies and fabrications, to return to His covenant – old testament Sabbath and laws, which Jesus observed and preached.
Several proofs of this fact exist today, glaringly. The conditions of life are getting worse every day, manifest as worldwide climate change: flood, earthquake, sinkholes, fire, whirlwind, pollutions, and abnormal happenings. These strange phenomena are God’s warning to humanity that they are following the wrong path, deceiving themselves and misleading ignorant masses into the hell fire. The worst is that most of the dead billions of souls of humanity end up inside the hell fire, without the world knowing what is happening in spirit.
5. Righteousness
Righteousness is the character of God, who is unchanging. God’s characters are well stated in the scriptures. As such, the children of God should study the scriptures and practice what things that are written in the Holy Scriptures for their own spiritual life and growth.
Today, many churches that claim to serve and worship God, are not doing so, because they do not know the character of God. Likewise, many people who claim to be born-again are not born again. And many churches that claim to be the best are, indeed, among the worst. Instead of doing what God stated in the bible, people fabricate all kinds of idolatry in the name of freedom of worship, whereas there is no freedom of worship in heaven and it is not permitted on earth.
6. Holiness
God is holy. That is why God says, “You must be holy, for I, the Lord, am holy”. It is indeed quite disappointing that churches teach that God is holy. Yet, the churches and their members do not keep the laws of holiness as commanded by God. This is one of the reasons why thousands of years of worship have become wasted years.
The pastors and reverend fathers teach peace and prosperity. They say to their followers, “It shall be well with you.” “It is already well with you.” Also, they tell people “You shall succeed and prosper”.
But, God is set to flush out the present generations of humanity, just as He did to the generations of Noah, because of the disobedience and unholiness. His wrath manifests in the form of natural disasters and man-made calamities, in the form of flood, earthquake, sinkholes, fire, whirlwind, pollutions, and abnormal happenings The ministers and their followers pray God to come and save them. Usually, it is too late, because the disasters and calamities are punishments from heaven, which are carefully measured out to chastise “the little, proud and disobedient humanity”. The calamites that have already happened are child’s play compared to the future ones that shall be used to flush humanity off the face of the earth. Without holiness, no one can please God.
7. Oneness With God
Anybody who is able to love God, lives a righteous and holy life, and easily attains fellowship and oneness with God. He becomes full of the Holy Spirit. This is the best and primary achievement of everybody on earth. But, it is disappointing that majority do not know this fact, and they are not even making the right efforts. They are busy everyday pursuing the temporary things of the world to the neglect of their spiritual lives and everlasting treasures in heaven.
Conclusion
Whoever that is spiritually talented must humble himself to learn more, because there are higher heights and deeper depths. The pride and pompous ones think that they are lording it over others, where as they are deceiving themselves and keeping their spiritual development stagnant. As necessary, it is the duty of those who are already spiritually mature to train the new and upcoming ministers, and not to lord it over them. Humility is the greatest virtue, and no wise man overlooks it. Yet, it must be true, spiritual, wise and holy. Do not allow your spiritual talents to make you proud and arrogant.
